Nappy: Disposable Vs Cloth

Minggu lalu baru ke Baby and Infant Expo.
Mayan lah, dapet barang2 yang murah-meriah. Second juga pastinya. Atau ... 4th hand? 10th even? :)
Anyway ...
Dapet kursi tinggi untuk makan/duduk = $5.
Dapet kursi rocker = $5.

Kita beli 6 biji + 2 cover, mau nyobain.

... maka mau nyobain next week insha Allah.

nanti kalo kira2 bagus dan enak, mau beli lagi untuk dipake full time nappy cloth ... katanya kira2 butuh 20+ berapa nappy gituh ... lupa

Tapi, total costs (over its life time usage)
Nappy Cloth = $900
Disposable = $3000.

Cost savings = $2100.

... yg akhirnya dibuntel2 kayak sosis2 buntel kecil, tapi manjang ... yah, gitu lah .. )

Repot siy emang mesti nyuci2 ... but ... we'll see how it goes.

Confirm Time // Hays Procurement Forecast

Confirm Time:
1. National Foods, w/ General Manager Logistics & Planning: Rabu, 03.Juni.08, 4PM.- bukan interview. Ngobrol2 informal, to put my foot on the door if future opportunities arise.

2. Philip Morris International, w/ Operations Director, Kamis, 04.Juni.08, 9AM - untuk bagian Category Specialist, Indirect Materials & Services.

http://www.hays.com.au/forecast/procurement.aspx

Hays Procurement - April 2008

Hotspots

There is a huge demand for procurement specialists, buyers, and category managers with specific skills in indirect procurement, as opposed to direct procurement roles for which the available candidate pool is much more sustainable.

Also in demand are strategic sourcing, analytical, and low level purchasing (incorporating negotiation) skills, with a general decrease across the market of mid-level direct and indirect candidates.

Strategic sourcing managers are required due to the general expansion of procurement teams and movement in the market both internally and externally. There is a strong demand for category managers within indirect spend, and demand planners in FMCG, while contract administrators and contract managers are required.

The procurement function is becoming more important to businesses as many are restructuring and seeking a reduction on their spend without compromising their customer/stakeholder satisfaction and quality. This is ensuring the need for high quality procurement professionals remains high.

The coming quarter

Permanent requirements are growing with the manufacturing/distribution sector a key driver of vacancy activity. Temporary activity is driven predominantly by public sector project-based procurement requirements.

Project related roles are increasing as are greenfield opportunities. This affects the temporary market, with a noticeable increase in long-term contract roles.

Executive recruitment

The last several months have witnessed a shift, with several vacancies available at the $130,000 to $165,000 level, both temporary and permanent, which were not previously available. Executive recruitment will only increase due to high demands for specialist roles and recognition of the power of procurement.

There has also been an increase in senior and executive candidates from a direct (goods, products, raw materials) background.

Salaries

While there have been large increases over the past year, salary movements have recently settled, and they are expected to even out in some areas such as Sydney, as employers recognise that there is a limit to how much they can compete purely on dollars. In other states however, such as Victoria, companies need to offer higher salaries as suitable candidates are demanding more and the procurement market remains candidate-driven. This has been evident through recent salary negotiation processes. As the procurement function becomes more recognised as a profession, with recognition obtainable from CIPSA, salary pressure will only continue to make its presence felt.

Candidate trends

As procurement becomes a more critical function within organisations, active and passive candidates are becoming increasingly aware of their market worth and are prepared to change roles accordingly.

Not Happy With Your Service // Miele

Subject: Job # 1381629 // Pls expedite Parts
Importance: High

Miele,

On Monday 21st.April.08, the Washer Dryer (WT2670) that we recently bought from Miele was faulty. Somehow it did not want to start.

We log a job on that week, and we were adviced that the technician was unable to come for that week, or the week after. And make an appointment on to come on Tuesday, May 06.08.

Bob – your tech who came over to do the job - adviced, that this particular fault, will require a part. Unfortunately, we’re told, that it was on backorder.

I’ve been calling back and forth, inquiring on the ETA for the part. I was adviced that it’ll be 2-3 weeks wait. But for some reason, still unable to give a specific ETA date, or give me an order confirmation or any Air Way Bill to advice the shipping confirmation from your Germany counterpart in which you placed the order with.

1. 1. Try to put yourself on my shoes. I had a fault with your product since the first week of purchase, we had water gushing out from the machine. This was on and off fault occasion, and happened for at least 5 times, within 4-5 weeks period of purchase. But I was “happy” enough to be patience. But now, this is getting extremely annoying.

2. 2. Your Spare Parts management really need to check their process and review your reordering point. If this fault occur often with the product, not sure why you don’t keep enough spares to cover the long lead time from your supplier. Geez, this product does not even come close to become obsolete ...

I was enticed to purchase your product, and spent a fortune to bought your product compare to competition, because I’ve been told by the Sales Representative at Harvey Norman QV how good Meile is with your German Engineering, and he gave me Quality Assurance from Product Support perspectives.

Obviously this has been proven wrong since first week of purchase.

Please expedite the part that is required for the job number above, and rectify the fault ASAP.

If you have any issues, or to have a further discussion, please contact me on 04XX-XXXXXX

Thanks.

Dinding dan Karpet

Kemarin baru aja abies blog-walk, and came across this one:
http://okieaquarina.multiply.com/journal/item/45/Kian_bikin_malu_

Jadi inget kejadian di rumah kira2 1-2 minggu yg lalu ...
Gw lagi gantiin nappy nya Shaafa, udah final stage, i.e. abies dibersihin kotoran2nya, terus dibalurin cream anti-nappy rash, udah ditaro popok baru ...

Tiba2 ... tampang Shaafa berubah ...

*ssrrrrrrrrr* ...

Tampang Shaafa balik normal lagi ... halah ...

Baru deh bersih2in dinding dan karpet nya pake permbersih karpet antibacterial dll ... huhu ... mudah2an engga ketauan agent rumah nanti kalo inspection ... :P ... Udah engga keliatan kok marking nya ... ^_^

Skarang gw udah lebih berhati2 kalo ganti nappy ... naro popoknya engga datar lagi, tapi agak sedikit nutupin incase ada apa2 ... huehuehue ...

Dinding dan karpet ... maaf yah, jadi korban :D

Ditelpon ... lagi

Ditelpon lagi sama agent gw yang trying to hook me up sama Philip Morris Int'l.

Dia bilang, PMI sampe sengaja bikin role yang cocok di Supply Chain Team mereka buat skills and experience gw. Whow ... I'm flattered.

We'll see how we go about then.

Right now, i'm preparing another list of qs for PMI.

Also ... tadi pagi interview sama Michael Page International, awalnya apply untuk Category Specialist di energy company, tapi mungkin mereka minta lebih experience person to do the job ... so he offered couple of roles: 1. Junior Consultant di salah satu boutique consultant company and 2. Procurement Analyst di Manufacturing company.

Wallahualaam.

PaintBall

Yes, we really had a blast yesterday.
Definitely worth it, so much fun.

The after affect is amazing!
haeuheauhea ... i.e. bruises, bleeding, marks, etc.

I was easily spotted, due to my skin head. It's like crying out "heyyyy ... its meeee ... hit me ... hit me" ... All the ducking, running around, sliding, was useless. Seems the reflective light from my head is easily discernable.

Things to note:
1. Some of you who got shots many times, but dont die ... do die next time. You guys like a cat, have 99 lives or something?
2. I tasted the paint. Awful! ... Someone hits me right on the mouthpiece, while I was trying to catch a breather from my mouth ... yakh ...
3. Next time, I'll use my contact lens for this.
4. I lost alot of paintballs on field 3. Someone hit me from the back (which indicate that I got shot from my team-mate), and got onto the cartridges for the paintballs. Bloody hell, I just refill mine with a 100 bullets or so.

All in all, it was a great fun.

Email Correspondence

Sidqie, thank you for your open and honest response.
At this stage, I recommend that you just keep me informed of your
progress. I will be open with PMI and let them know your circumstances -
I feel they will understand this and if their recruitment process
allows, they may be able to keep you in contention. If I tell them that
you are just not available, they will immediately dismiss your
application.

How does this sound?

Best wishes in the process for both Grad applications.

Regards,
Courtenay

Hi Courtenay,

Thank you for call today, and gave me an update on PMI.

Sorry couldn't talk much, as I was in the middle of a meeting, and was
on a short break when I called you up.
I clarified a few things with my work colleague, definitely she'll be
away starting tomorrow until end of next week. And because I am the main
point of contact for the Maintenance Area, I will not be able to take
some time off until she's back to work.

For your information, I am currently during the final stages of Graduate
Recruitment selections process, with both National Foods, and Ford. For
me, this quite an opportunity to break into the FMCG industry, or the
Automotive industry.

Either way though, the competition is fierce. Having approx. 2000
applicants for each company, and only 1 and/or 2 Logistics/Purchasing
position on offer respectively by the companies, it is something
prestigious if we're selected.

I am currently through to the final interview process. As a matter of
fact, I just had my final interview with National Foods today at lunch
time. I am waiting for the final result from Nat Foods by end of next
week, or Ford by another 2 weeks.
Both positions, however, commence early 2009 in january or february. A
long wait I know, but it's worth it.
In terms of salary packaging, they have a very competitive packaging,
51-53k base, or 55-57 package, and have a 6 monthly performance/salary
review.
Plus, they are all located quite nearby from where I live, which is very
convenient; and probably recently added to my list-to-have for my next
employment opportunity.
Ford, as you know is in Broadmeadows. And National Foods, will move to
Dockland area pretty soon. Less travel time, and less fuel costs.

Yes, I think their Supply Chain practices / Procurement procedures are
extremely well developed and comprehensive, and am still "drooling" to
gain a deeper understanding of their procurement procedures. I'd love to
have another round of discussion with them.
But at the same time, unfortunately, I cannot guarantee any promises to
proceed with the role with PMI. Since I attended the Assessment Centres
for the Graduate Position last week, I am giving my commitment on this
path. For this time period anyway. Until I received the final outcome.

I am not sure how do we want proceed from here. I never thought that PMI
had any second thought about my application after a decision was made on
my first interview. Your suggestion and advice is very much welcome.

Kind Regards,

Sidqie Djunaedi

Nah loh

Alhamdulillah, tadi kelar final interview sama National Foods. Interview went really well. At least, that's what I felt anyway.

Nah, barusan, abies kelar meeting, ada telpon dari Hudson Recruitment, bilang Philip Morris Int'l mau adain 2nd interview. They said, they were really interested on my skills and character. Jadi HR manager nya ngasih resume gw ke General Manager of Logistics / Procurement / Supply Chain, and see that I have great potential? Halah halah ... kenapa digodain lagi siyyyyy??? ...

Uhhh ...

Another Assessment Centre (Ford)

Alhamdulillah, baru selsai another assessment centre. This time with Ford, di Broadmeadows.
Dari jam 1-5pm.

They said, they have 1500 applicants. only 300 made it to assessment centres. and only 2 logistics graduate that they are looking to recruit for next year.

Natural Foods has a slightly more competitive I guess ... 2000 applicants, 80 made it to Assessment Centres, and only 1 logistics graduate to recruit.

Phew ... besok is my final interview with National Foods.
If I make it tomorrow, they'll make the offer next week. And have 7 days to give confirmation.
Thing is, Ford have final interview for Logistics end of next week. And announcement will be at the end of the month. Still along way to go.

Anyway ....

Wallahu alaam.

Amin.

Met 1 Bulan Yah Anak-Ku

Assalamu'alaikum,

Skarang belum tau panjang badan Azka. Mungkin ada 55cm? Wallahu alaam.
nanti Ayah pulang2 bawa meteran kali yah, terus diukur sendiri ... hehehe ... :P

Luv u baby dear.
May Allah shower His Rahmat and Maghfirah on our family.
Insha Allah.

Wassalaam.
Abu Azka.
