Alhamdulillah ...

We arrived in Royal Women hospital this morning (Thursday, 3 April 08) at around 4AM.
They admitted us to the Emergency Section, just to have check and continously monitor on the mums and bubz.

5.30AM, the midwive performed an internal check. 4cm dilation.
9.30AM, another internal check, still at the Emergency Room. 5cm dilation.
1.30PM, another internal check, this time at the small room in the Birth Centre (Lv 4). 6 cm dilation.
5.50pm. Still betwen 6-7cm.
Ranie is on Gas and Pethadine to minimize her contractions pain.
7.30pm doctor broke her water (the one on top of the bubz' head) in order to fast things around, and give her a "drip" to make the contractions closer together.
9.00pm, Ranie is ready to push the baby. Alhamdulillah Ranie was doing extremely well. I did not her scream at all (I heard the other two ladies screaming really loud from next door. I thought Ranie will do the same. But Alhamdulillah, she's very patience indeed).

9.42pm. Baby is born into this world. Alhamdulillah.

All that weariness from waiting all day round, just vanished into the air as soon as we see the baby.
Midwives straigth away put the baby on Ranie's chest to give a skin-to-skin contact between the mum and the baby (no bath, no cleaning ... but apparently this is very good the baby-mum wellbeing and bonding/attachment). Placenta still connected, and Alhamdulillah I did the cutting of the placenta.

Adzan on her right ear, Iqamah on her left ear.

I'll rewrite this again later on, just want to put some record of our experience.
